21C At-Risk After School Program Staff (Aug-Nov 2013)



Part-time (2-5 days/week): flexible shifts available Monday-Friday

Doty 2:15-6:00pm
Howe 2:00-5:45pm
Eisenhower 2:30-5:45pm
Sullivan 3:00-6:15pm

Major Responsibilities

The 21st Century Community Learning Center provides at-risk children the opportunity to increase academic performance, school attendance and social interaction skills through daily activities that are fun and educational. Every day working in 21C gives you the opportunity to change a child's life for the better.

21C Program Staff are responsible for assisting the Lead Staff in the total program operation of the After School Program, ensuring that a safe, high quality program is operating at all times. Staff will plan and provide activities that fit the needs and interests of the children and ensure homework time is part of each day's plans.

  • Program Staff should have at least three months experience working with children; previous experience working with children in group settings and from diverse backgrounds is a plus.
  • An individual who is seeking a degree in Education, Child Psychology or Human Development is preferred.
  • Must be able to relate well to children, adults, and school/site staff and work the after school hours of the school's operational year.
  • The ability to speak conversational Spanish is helpful, but not required.
  • High school degree or equivalent highly preferred; high school seniors with a strong interest in education are invited to apply.
